Eco-living
We are working towards making Fine-Rooms houses ecologically friendly, low plastic and sustainable. We are starting by introducing eco and environmentally friendly products into our houses. Our cleaner also only uses eco products. Our houses all actively recycle plastics and other waste items plus separate food waste.
We are very proud to say that we plant a tree every month for each of our housemates - that is 24 trees planted every month, 288 per year. We do this through JustOneTree - justonetree.life
We are also looking at available technologies to improve our homes through better insulation and renewable energy generation.

Recylcling
Recycling all waste including cardboard, paper, glass and food, is actively promoted and encouraged at all Fine Rooms Houses. Some houses have also started collecting old clothes and items to give to charity.
Reduce
Reducing carbon footprint is important so all Fine Rooms houses have an EPC or D or above and have installed automatic thermostatic controlled heating to ensure heat is provided only when needed!
Responsible
Fine Rooms source environmentally friendly products including household and kitchen cleaners. We have been using 100% green energy for over 1 year and are constantly looking for ways to be more environmentally responsible
Doing our bit for the planet
Creating more sustainable houses is now a necessity
Fine Rooms provide a range of eco-products for housemates to use in communal areas including: washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, salt and rinse aid, handwash and recycled bin bags. All recyclable waste is separated and food waste is also sent for composting.
Our houses have been refurbished to a high standard and are well insulated and therefore have great EPC ratings of C or above. One of our aims to reduce waste including water and power. All houses are supplied by companies which use 100% renewable energy!
Our thermostatic heating system ensures that the house is only heated when needed and not while everyone is out at work, while also providing housemates with heat on demand for colder days!
We hope to introduce more green initiatives in the future...
